Gov't comes to people via citizenship unit

last week
when a big white mobile unit •
rolled into Uocderich.
The 'citizenship mobile in-
formation centre which was
parked on 'the Square was a
government experiment,
sponsored by the office of the
secretary of state. The in-
formation centre remained on
The Square Thursday and.
Friday assisting people with
any citizenship procedural
information they requir d.
The mobile information
centre was staffed by
citizenship officers Lorena
Warnock and John Jones who
explained that the unit will
operate in Ontario and Quebec
on an evaluation phase to
justify other such mobile unit

Following the Goderich visit,
the information unit retuned to
Ottawa and will make a trip to
Paris during its Fall,Fair, The
evaluation phase for the centre
will ,end in September and
public response will determine
justification of other vehicles in
other parts of the country.
