Kingston and Peterborough.
While in Ottawa they took a
conducted tour of the city and
Parliament Bldgs. andsaw the
changing of the Guard. '

visited Mr. and Mrs. Ross
McNee and Mrs. ' Jennie
Rutledge and others at
Huronview on Friday.
Mrs. Cecil Blake ac-
companied her son Bill and his
wife Pat to East Towas,
Michigan, for a few days last
week—Olive visited her uncle,
Mr. Eugene Hanson ,and Bill
and Pat camped in their tent
trailer in a park nearby. Becky
and Kjra Blake stayed with
their grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Eugene Ryan in Goderich,
Bill and Pat the girls are
camping at Poi, t Farm this
week.
Mary Bere and Jamie visited
her cousin, Mrs. Jas. Schultz,
Andrew, Douglas and Amy
and Mrs.- Schultz Sr. at their
cotttage at Kintail on Tues.
evening. Mrs. Steve Stothers of
Lucknow was. there. Also and
Mrs. Jeam Carruthers, Andrew
and Julia of Goderich.
Seventy-four children from
the village and surrounding
area enjoyed the Bible
Vacation School at the
Christian. Fellowship church
this past week..Enro.lment was
47 on Monday and 66 on
Thursday and over $60 was
taken in collection which is to
be used to•,send two children
from Golden Circle School for
the Retarded to camp next
summer.'

Orrie Gingerich gave a sermon
on Paul's:.text "When I became
a man"- and discussed ways of
achieving maturity;

The Rev. Fred Day' hasbeen
appointed pastor of the Bethel
Pentecostal Tabernacle in
Goderich. Mr. Daffy, succeeds
Peter St. Don ,who was pastor
for four years• and has now been
transferred to'London.
Rev. Day • •is an ordained
minister of the. Pentecostal
Assemblies" of Canada and for
the past. 11 years has served as
pastor in Murray River, Prince
Edward Island, Espanola, and
Hamilton and was the assistant
pastor in Cambridge , (Galt)
prior to' his ,Goderich ap
pointment. He is a graduate of
the 'Eastern Pentecostal Bible
College in Peterborough. -

The double ring ceremony was
performed by Rev. R.B.
Geelhaar, a friend of the
family.
The bride is the -- only
daughter of Mr. and, Mrs.
Kenneth Neil. Treitz, Goderich,
and ,the 'groom is the youngest
son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Henry Kelly of Londesborough.
The bride chose a sleeveless
V -necked empire styled sheer
_organdy dress and matching
Chanel jacket in a wide border
print of small deep pink flowers
on a pale pink background. She
carried a natural wicker flower
basket filled with white iceberg
mums, stephanotis, deep pink
cornflowers and baby's' breath
and tied with pink and white
streamers, She wore a single
strand of pearls, agift from her
parents. Her hair was styled
with a cluster of stephanotis
andpink cornflowers.
The bride's mother selected a
bright pink sleeveless knit
dress with a matching jacket of
pink, white and turquoise in a
marbled effect. ,She -wore
white accessories and a white
and Pink Cymbidium orchid
corsage.
The -,groom's mother wore an
aqua and white knit dress with
a square neckline. Her'corsage
was a pink Cymbidium orchid.
Following. the ceremony a
reception was' held at the Bltie
Barn Dining Room in Listowel.
Wedding cake and summer
bouquets of zinnias, dahlias and
verbena decorated 'the bride's
'table. •
For their wedding' trip, the
bride chose a cream and brown
flowered print dress accented
with brown accessories. and a
corsage of stephanotis and pink

The regular schedule for girls
softball was completed last
Tuesday, Aug. 12 when'
Goderich Township A team
played Stanley at Brucefield,
.winning it 19-2. The two stars
picked for that game were
pitcher Debbie Wise and good
hitting Pat Harris.
The juniors also played their
last game of. the regular s>ries
iwith Stanley Juniors and lost by
'a miserable score which they
care to forget. Karen Jantzi
and Susan Bell were picked as
stars.
The playoffs for both boys
and girls softball begins this
week.
One boys' team has been
undefeated throughout the'`
