Council members felt that the
new lakeside park is not ready
to 'accornm.odate a large group
of. township residents at the
annual picnic, so it was decided
to hold the picnic again this
year on the school grounds at
.Holmesville,
A large table will be set up for
a 'smorgasbord picnic lunch.

supplied. ' • "
Residents, should note
though, that they should bring

The lucky winning ticket will be

Softball- and picnics were the
main topic for discussion.' -,.''
This being the first year for
exchange sames• with
surrounding townships, it
would be- natural to expect'
some wrinkles to form in the
system. Apparently there have
been some.
The -Council . is immensely
proud of all the teams and
hopes that players and fans
don't become "World Series"
serious about it. Recreat•ion..
,and good Puri is the desired
result. ,,
Several.,q'uestions regarding
rules and, qualifications have
arisen amongst the townships
and:this will undoubtedly be
discussed and a better system'
set up for 1)ext year.
In softball, the girls last week
exchanged games 'with Ben'

managed by Jan Ginn and
Walter. Bell played Colborne's
Team B to the tune -of 36-14.,,
