Arbor Day --I haven't heard the word in years, but we have a teriffic lady on the . Parks ne Board who has goto a great deal of work -. assisted by several other great people, who has planned Arbor Day '75. About 300 school childreniare taking part in the pickup - cleanup drive. All our parks will get the once over. . The town trucks are picking busy day that might be carqied on each year once more. .Our visiting dignitaries will lunch at the Candlelight sponsored by our Bank of Montreal. In case of rain land lousy weather the event will take place on the following Friday. The ladies at the Maitland Golf Club hope you will come down April 29 to their big Bridge Nite. Cards begin at 8, if you can't make Up a tablelhere will be others available who enjoy a game of Bridge, so help' the girls with their project, redecorating the club. Also there was an accident within the choir's performance which was handled so deftly that only. a very..,,few in the audience were aware. This unexpected event was met with exceptional poise, demon- strating their professional sophistication. The congregation looks forward to hearing these talented groups, - again, before long. I think it is wonderful that there is opportunity. for youngsters in our town to use their budding talenti in music and song. Many thanks should go to the folks who spend many, then apples for dessert. David McDonald had two assists for the Suns with singles going to Graham, Morrissey, Kevin Campbell, Denis Kerr, David Gallow and Robbie Steve Knight was the only marksman. In, tournament totals, the Brussels' Suns scored a total of 25 goals, while Suns' goalies Jeff penomme and Jilt MacDonald gave up'only nine. In other games in the tour- nament, Palmerston defeated Clinton, 5-2; Brussels got by Blyth,, 6-2; Kincardine blasted Clinton, 13-1; Kincardine beat Blyth' 5-2; Brussels defeated Palmerston 5-3; and Kin- cardine won 6-4 over Brussels. Suns' Coach Richard Madge paid tribute to his team for their hard work and dedication throughout the long season. He felt that they were able to combine team -work and aggressive play with good sportsmanship, the goals they • set out for themselves when the season began some six month's, and 55 games ago.
