Between naw and April 25 you
may view ' a great display of
Purple Martin houses at our
local library. I understand Bill
Wisser anti Bill Partridge and
probably. some youngsters had
a hand in creating this display
and,it is worth your while to go
have a look.Who knows - you
may have the right spot for a
Martin house - or even a
Bluebird house so why don't
you check with one of the
"Bills".
One of the big events for the
Goderich 125th ,Centennjal
Anniversary of the Corporation"'
will be April 25 when we once
again have ARBOR DAY.
Arbor Day --I haven't heard
the word in years, but we have
a teriffic lady on the . Parks
ne
Board who has goto a great
deal of work -. assisted by
several other great people, who
has planned Arbor Day '75.
About 300 school childreniare

cleanup drive. All our parks
will get the once over.
. The town trucks are picking
busy day that might be carqied
on each year once more. .Our
visiting dignitaries will lunch at
the Candlelight sponsored by
our Bank of Montreal.
In case of rain land lousy
weather the event will take
place on the following Friday.
The ladies at the Maitland
Golf Club hope you will come
down April 29 to their big
Bridge Nite. Cards begin at 8, if
you can't make Up a tablelhere
will be others available who
enjoy a game of Bridge, so help'
the girls with their project,

"Penny Sale" cards yet? The
Ladies Hospital Auxiliary will
have their party on May 28. A

Mrs. Mary Hearn conducting,
Lorne Dotterer, the very able
accompanist on the pipe organ.
These. clfarming little
cherubs are to be commended
for their beautiful tonal
production, excellent phrasing
and most outstanding ' enan-
ciations which are so enjoyed
by the listeners. For such
young singers these ac-
complishments are indeed
remarkable and reflect the
superior training they are
receiving.
Also there was an accident
within the choir's performance
which was handled so deftly
that only. a very..,,few in the
audience were aware. This
unexpected event was met with
exceptional poise, demon-
strating their professional
sophistication. The
congregation looks forward to
hearing these talented groups, -
again, before long.
I think it is wonderful that
there is opportunity. for
youngsters in our town to use
their budding talenti in music
and song. Many thanks should
go to the folks who spend many,
then apples for dessert.
