OUR CHRISTMAS
Every year we decorate our
tree with stars,coloured lights,'
candy canes, tinsel and lots ,
more. And sometimes we sit
around and sing and play bingo
and play with the things we-
got. For supper we have
chicken and turkey or anything,
but there're most popular to us
and maybe dressing and tunip
and potatoes. What do you'
have ?
Most of us have fun on Christ-
mas I hopes you do. The finest
of all is presents and opening
them. , M

DECORATING THE 'TREE -
Let me tell you about the one
Merry Christmas I had. It was
the children found huge
presents under the Christmas
tree. I suppose you know who
brought the presents. Ho, ho,
ho! Yes! me! Santa Claws!
Merry Christmas! 4

OUR, KIND OF CHRISTMPAS
Our Grandfather had never
experienced our kind of Christ-
mas. He believed that a Christ-
mas should be spent chopping
wood or cleaning opt the barn!
But when he stayed with us
last year he knew what it was
all about. He helped us
decorate our tree with tinsel,
gay lights and bell of shapes
and sizes. Mother hooked
candy canes. pn it. Later on,
Grandpa told up stories about
when he was a little boy on
the year of 1846, Dec. 25, at 8 , Christmas Eve. We all enjoyed

children strung it, then on to
the tree it went.
• MT. Jones was rumaging
through the attic and ' found
some .tinsle rope, he put around
the tree, it ' realy brightened the
tree up. As they decorated the
tree, they left little,,spots where
they could place candles.
Last but not least, the star

THE NEW PUPPY
One di; Jane and Billy were
walking down 'the cold winter
road, when they saw a little
puppy laying under a bridge.
The pup was black with a white
patch over one eye. He was all
curled up like a ball of fur.
Billy picked him up and,
brought him home,
His mother said "Billy you
cannot keep that puppy we
can't aford to keep it out here
in the cotfntry, besides we have
no use for him".
But Billy begged and begged
her till she -said "OK wait till
you father cT mes home and see
what he says."
So the children waited and

The word Christ means
saviour. He came on earth as
God made man to' save us all.
This birth is the true meaning
of Christmas season. It is quite
right that we rejoice and be
happy during this time. Indeed!.
we should give presents and
send happy Christmas cards to
our friends because this exactly
what the three wisernan did af-
ter Christ was born in a poor
little stable outside Bethleham.
This as you will see is the true
meaning of Christmas and even
what Santa is all- about.

OUR SPECIAL LITTLE WAY
Christmas morning in our
days :is much different from the
pioneers. We wake up early in
the morning and run down-
stairs to see our presents. But,
the pioneers had no.,presents.
They would carry on" -like any
other day: The nights were cold
so they would have to sit close
to the fire. The parents would
tell stories to their children-.
that their parents told them.
The children would snuggle up
in bed and soon fall fast asleep.
In one way their Christmas is
like ours and that is we all
celebrate in one special way of
our own.
PREPARING FOR ' CHRIST-
MAS
When Christmas is near I
know 'it is time to get ready for
that hard working day. My
sister and I get 'out our Christ-
mas tree, tinsel and ;and even
the star that sits right on the.
top. The lights that go on the ,
treeshine up all over. Sharon""

house but this year dad said we
can't have lights on the house

PREPARING FOR CHRIST-
MAS
We were ,all awaiting the
arrival of my dad, about quar-
ter to two on a saturday he
carne.
We attatched the caboose to
the snowmobile and went out
into the brush.
Once past a hole in the fence
we hopped out and serveyed
many trees. Then my dad found
one he considered good. We cut
it down and towed it home. Af-
ter a bit of persuading got it
intb the stand and into the
house.
After we changed four light
bulbs and fixed the icycles so
they were hanging nicely we
were ready. Now all we had to
do was wait for Christmas. •
