THE UNHAPPY CHRISTMAS
One day, on the night before
Christmas Eve, Santa was very
worried as he was talking to
Mrs. Claus.
"On the •radio I heard that
the grinch is playing tricks and
damaging things again. He bet-
ter not ruin this Christmas or
Now -Santa! Don't get so
worked up! Go out and check
on the elves, find some spare
bulbs for Rudloph's nose, And
get the sleigh filled up with
gas. And for heaven sake forget
about that grinch!"
But little did Santa know
that while he was getting ready
to go outside the grinch., was
glueing their hooves. to the
ground, -and had found
Rudolph's spare bulbs and
then smashed them. So' by the
time it was Christmas .Eve and
ti
system. Now I could start.
I was flying at 1800 ft. when
Dancer's and Prancer's engines
broke down. I was diving down.
going about 2,000 miles per
hour when I pulled back on the
stick and dropped Dancer and
Prancer off. I went flying up-
wards and almost lost two Off.
my toy bags.
When I got the sled back to
normal I' spotted the Grinch
flying a German bomber that
specialized in dropping bombs
that would only explode toys.
Luckily it didn't have any
machine guns on it, so I took
out a toy machine gun that
.fired plastic bullets and shotit
down. I never saw him again
-that night.
I had finished delivering toys
to Canada and was flying over
to Europe across the Atlanic
Ocean when a Blue Whale jum-
w•d me For.
found out he needed his 2 spare
reindeers, Katy and Jingles.
( I4 -e- ,needed—r.-eindeers to help a
keep the' sleigh in the air.)
So he finally got on his way
with a merry "1-io,Ho!" and a
promise to give the children
twice as many toys this time.
But the grinch had made a big
pile of snow and as Santa tried
to avoid,,, it he crashed into a
tree ,and Santa's sleigh was
7i'iiemolished.
Finally Santa decided he had
enoungh of the -grinch. 'He was
climbing 'up on the grinche's
roof when his arthritis acted up
-and he fell into a snowbank
where helay frozen all night,
After he was unfrozen he
said his good old saying, "I'll
give the • ildren three times as
much next ye r. '

TRAFFIC .JAM
It was Christmas Eve, Santa
Claus had not arrived yet, and
it was almost morning. They
waited and waited and waited.
But just, then they heard him
coming. He came to them and
told him about his story.
'He said that he was riding
like usual but just then he got
caught in a 'traffic jam with
rockets and things all going to
the- moon. But the• next second
I knew I heard a duck coming
going honk, honk and it cleared
the way for me and thats how I
got here." ."
Then he went to all the
houses and gave everyone what
they whated•• Everyone in the
world got Christmas because of
aduck.

SANTA CLAUS RIDES AGAIN
It was Christmas Eve, I was
gassing up the- reindeer. with
Shell's Non Leaded because I
didn't want to pollute the air. I
replaced Rudolph's old light
bulb since it burnt out three
• months 'ago. At the moment I

SANTA'S DELAY •
It was December 24th the
night before Christmas. Santa
had many places to go. I
•checked rudolfs- recently
because he'd looked a little
pale, but he was allright' now.
So I started to pack up the toys
with the help of my elves:
I hitched"up my reindeer and •
called to rudolp onward, but he •
wouldn't go. I approached him
and, "Oh no" he •was pale
again. I was in a mess this
time. I could not see without
rudolrs shiney nose.
I -decided to _leave rudolf
home and use some other kind
of transportation. 1 finally
decided to use. my 20 horse
power snowmobile and
cabouse. So I got my helpers to
reload the cabouse.
When they were finished 1 set
out on my journey,, l went to
North -hay and then places
surrounding or in the area. k'
was finished in a. flash and was
- heading south. I was in
dangerous country because my
motor might quit. I did',the rest
ofthe south and was an hour
behind schedual. I had only
one, place left was clopidia
But as I told you- before my
engine could quit, well just my
luck _ it did. I got it fixed and
was hack on track in 1/2 an
hour. T arrived at clopidia . at
almost the time when everyone
got up. I had done every house
done except one house. .
It was a little girls house and
her name was laura. I was up
on •the roof and started down
the chimney but just at the hot -
tom of the chimney I got stuck.'
I yelled and bellowed for help.
Laura approached and helped
me out. I asked her what I
could, give her for her kindness
but she Said there was nothing
nicer than seeing Santa Claus.

A TOUGH NIGHT FOR SANTA
I' thought 1' had heard
someone yelling .for. .tp• 1
heard it again. Yes, it was
• coming from the chimney• I ran
downstairs and looked up the
chimney. There I saw Santa•.I
told him I would get a .,ladder
and help him down if t_ ' made
a bargain with me that I would
get an extra present. He said
yes and when 1, reached top the
ladder Santa didn't look like
the real thing.
When I tried pull him down
he didn't budge. I. felt around
and found the plug to his inner -
tube plug so 'I pulled it off.
There was a big whoosh and
then we were'both on the floor.
Then something else hap-
pened to him. The stuffing in
his arms and legs came out He
looked mighty familiar. Yes, it
was the mayor of the town. He
explained to me that since they
didn't have a Santa in one of
the stores so they decided to
have someone go around and
deliver presents.
Next he showed me his
atomic -powered sled. He
decided to let me help him
deliver the rest of the presents.
We had a few problems though.
First he didn't have an inner -
tube around .his"belly and fell
' down the chimney with a thud.
He had to hurry and get hack
up . the chimney before the
''c'hildren found him.
Next we filled the tuhe with
gas and, it- blew. up when he
went down the chimney
because there was a fire in it.
We went right home and he let
me take hid place to next year
because he didn't want to go
through . what he had and'
because I lied helped him
