meeting with Mrs. Maurice
Bean leading and Mrs. Norman
Wightman at the piano, Mrs.
Bean's theme was a Christian
Woman's Christmas,
Several Carols were sung in-
terspersed. with Bible passages
referring to theChristmas
season. A skit on Preparing for

Mrs. Jack Armstrong and Mrs.
Beth Lansing and dedicated
with prayer by Mrs. Bean. The
meeting was in the charge of
the Executive.

held last week at the home of
Mrs. Thomas Haggitt. The
Hostess; opened the Meeting

Mrs. Donald Cartwright gave
the scripture lesson from the
gospel of St. Luke: Mrs. Elmer
Trommer read an article on
Christmas Legends. Mrs. Celia
Taylor gave the topic, Christ-
mas in Australia. -

The December meeting of the
Ahrneek Chapter "of the IODE
was held ' in the Candlelight
Restaurant which was very
suitably decorated with, a
('hristrnasy atmosphere.
After a delic•jous luncshingeong,

Christmas Carols. Mrs. F. Mills
played the piano and Mrs, G.
Henderson led in the singing.
Several guests attended the

by their friends.- Mrs. M.
McKee opened the meeting and
introduced the persons at the
head table t'?
and welcned the
honorary members.
Mr,J. Wilson introduced
the guest speaker, Dr, Frank
Mills,'"w•ho gave a ver`' infor-

mative talk on the Mustard
Report. There would be some
very undesirable drawbacks if
this type of Health Care were
to come into effect(. It would
lead to' lower quality care' and
an unsatisfactory patient -
physician relationship.
The discussion was followed
by a question and answer
period, in which Dr. Mills ex-
plained the answers to some of
he questions asked.]
It as suggested that
requests be sent to the local •
M.P.P. to step the implemen-
tation of this controversial
report.
Mrs. C. Cutt thanked 'Dr,
Mills for his enlightening
remarks.
A draw was made on an
afghan which was made and
presented by Mrs. A. Habel.
The lucky ticket was drawn for
Mr. McFarlan from Holymod.
Miss C. Palmer won "a cup
and saucer for finding a lucky
marker under her plate. Mrs.
E. Sitter won a prize for having
a birthday closest to Christmas
day.
Mrs A. Hugill introduced
Miss Edith Lockert who
showed films on her trip to
South America and especially
around Rio rle Janeiro and
Asuncion. This travelogue was
well enjoyed and Mrs. Clair-
mont thanked Miss Loc,kart for
her lovely pictures.
The meeting ended with the
