b. If yes, what can be done
about it? If no, explain why,
.you think local taxes are in
line.
Sufficient ,taxes must be
collected to buy the services
demanded by the ratepayers
and to cover cost of growth and
development. The best way tax
'dollars can be saved is by good
planning, administration and
very careful spending: There
are savings to be found " in
nearly every area of govern-
ment but they must be searched
out.
' 6. There are always com-
plaints' about roads In your
opinion:
a. Is Goderich's road
program adequate?
No.
b. If not, why not?
The condition of some roads
and sidewalks, would indicate
that there has not been a good
enough program to cover main
tenance of existing roads and -
sidewalks .as well as construc-
tion of new 'facilities.

regional government looms in
the .not so distant future? In
your opinion: •
a. Is regional government
desirable? Why? .
Small municipalities
like our town would be com-
pletely lost in the shuffle. We
would lose our individuality
and would probably have to
move elsewhere because of high
taxes and poor service.

believe that I have * corn-
municated honestly with
people, on what council has
tried to accomplish, and more
specifically, on my own
thinking and' reasons for the
stands. which I have taken. I
am, and have always been just

One • other thought occurs to
, me on the subject of com-

this, we tend tct think only of

mind the communication
system workslin two directions.
I believe that you, the tax-

that you think will work, you
sho.uldocontact your rep and let

Likewise if you have a com-
