Women's Day Out meet the
candidates'morning, chaired by
Edwina Allen, was very suc-
cessful. Fifteen of the eighteen
candidates for council, reeves
and mayor were well identified
with name tags and large well
printed desk signs made for the
occasion by Gwen Kiar.
Two minutes were given to
the candidates to introduce
themselves and tell why they
thought they would make good
council members. Hilde Maurer
rang a little silver bell to let
them know when their, time
was up. This was done -so that
everyone would have equal
time. •
To help you identify the can-
didates here is a quick run-
down. The difficulty is to know

solution I can, come up' with is
to do it alphabetically like the
ballot.
