On Friday night at Huron County 4-H Achievement Night, David Mewhinney received the . Stewart Proctor Award for the champiop 4-H Shorthorn steer. A discussion took place regarding two claims •received.. recently for livestock killed, which were determined to be caused by wolves, and the evaluator called the Ministry of Natural Resourcesto in- vestigate the damage. The Ministry is paying the farmers ,.. the damages claimed in these cases. By. Law No. 8, 1974, authorizing the construction of a Community Health Centre in the Village of Lucknow, for which West .Wawanosh will contribute the sum of $16,000.00 over a •ten-year • period, was given third reading and finally passed.
