Award for the champiop 4-H
Shorthorn steer. Douglas
Miller received the Jack Rid-
dell trophy for the Champion 4-
H Sheep Showman and Hugh.
Todd got a 5 -year 4-H leader's

West Wawanosh Township
Council met. for its regular
. monthly meeting on Tuesday
evening, November 5 with all
members in attendance and
Reeve Bob Lyons presiding.
A discussion took place
regarding two claims •received..
recently for livestock killed,
which were determined to be
caused by wolves, and the
evaluator called the Ministry of
Natural Resourcesto in-
vestigate the damage. The
Ministry is paying the farmers
,.. the damages claimed in these
cases.
By. Law No. 8, 1974,
authorizing the construction of
a Community Health Centre in
the Village of Lucknow, for
which West .Wawanosh will
contribute the sum of
$16,000.00 over a •ten-year •
period, was given third reading
and finally passed.
The Clerk was instructed to

The Clerk read a letter from
the Maitland Valley Conser-
vation Authority regarding, the
proposed purchase of 100 acres
of land in the Township. Coun-
cil instructed the Clerk to write
the Authority requesting its at-
tendance at the December
meeting to discuss the matter
with them.
Council was in favour of a
uniform building permit to be
used by all municipalities in
the County, and the Clerk was
instructed to write. Gary
Davidson, Planning Director, to
this effect.
