'G.M.H.A. have come up with
something new_ .- .this. year,
during -the regular Minor
Hockey House League
Schedule. They have now set
aside every third or fourth
game for• a practice.
This is what Elmira. Minor
• Hockey has been doing for
years and. it hoped that the
Minor .League Coaches can
help the players improve on
their weaknesses, skating,
shooting; passing etc.
Rae J. Watson Real Estate,
of London, and Goderich, have
donated a set of new sweaters
to the Midget "Bs" team. Bill
Duckworth has been appointed
as the coach. This Midget "B"
team will beentered into the
-league whreli,consists of Clin-
' ton, Seaforth, Mitchell, Grand
Bend, and Zurich.
The signal Star has added
something new to the paper.
Each week, a minor hockey-.
player, who plays in the house
league, wi-11 be picked for the
Star of the Week: Therefore, in
order to help us pick this star,
we would appreciate any coach
or assistant giving us their
selection.

Defencemn Paul Jeffrey, Steve'
Sinclair, and Tim Riehl played
an outstanding game as they
allowed very few attackers past
them as well as keeping the
puck inside the blueline.
Goalies Paul. Brenner and
Terry Bean did not have too
, much work but what they did
have, they handled well.
On Sunday, they travelled to
St. Marys and Lost a squeaker
3-1. The game was close from
start to finish with good up and
down action. St. Marys made
the most of their breaks where
the hometowners failed On
theirs and• this was the dif-
ference in the game.
Goderich opened the scoring
with Daryl Madge who checked
endlessly putting .us one up,
with Randy Gaynor assisting.
St. Marys°then scored a goal
in each of the periods with the
• last one coming in *the last two'
minutes. Todd Graham, John
Thompson, Randy Gaynor and
Daryl Madge were fooled on
good scoring chances.
Paul Brenner and Terry
Bean were very strong in goal.
The defence was caught a
couple of times at the op-
position's blueline but played
well in, other aspects.
Next game is this coming
Saturday at 5 p.m,' when
Graham Electric Novice All
Stars take on Seaforth in a
regular league game.
