daughter Marie Ferguson, also

Lorne Bodges of Goderich,
Dorothy . Ferguson's parents,
and Mr. and Mrs. Holzhausen,
of Goderich, Bill Ferguson's

At 'the dinner Bill presented
Dorothy with a diamond ring
and wedding ring. Gifts were
opened and the arrival of many
friends.. imade� the' evening un,
forgettable.
A play was performed• - an
old fashioned wedding -
followed by dancing, and coffee
and cake. '
In' all 100 people were in at-
. tendance for this special oc-
casion.

Thanks to 'the weatherman
we had a beautiful warm fall
day for ,Club Championship.
Ali the eligible members played -
16 holes of golf to qualify for a
terrific prize. Golf, prizes, din- •
ner and dancing completed a
tremendous ,evening.
Our new Men'sClub Cham-
pion is Rick Sowerby and
Don Bedour is the runner-up.
These two fellows played 3,6 •
holes of' golf with the decision
being made on the thirty-sixth
hole. Congratulations fellows
. on a well played game,
Roy Telford won the Men's
!-Handicap Trophy and Mike
Drennan was the runner-up.
This was also ' ' an exciting -
match as. the handicap dif-
ference was within strokes of
each other.
This was our
first year to
have a two -ball partner
trophy. John Lyndon and
" Walter Sheardown won . the
Men's division and. Velma
Campion and Shirley Baechler
were the winners of the ladies.
Each'received a trophy es well
as ,a golf gift. •
The Ladies Club • Champion
Was won by Shirley Bkechler
with her sister Joyce ' Bolton
winning the gunner -up. Karen
Scott was the Ladies' Handicap.
trophy winner and Adele Dren-
• nan 'won the runner-up. This is
a new trophy for the ladies and°
it was nice to see equal han-
dicaps. playing off.
, 'T -he ' Kay Lyndon Trophy
which gbes to the lady who has
lowered .her handl'cap the most
throughout the year • was also
won by Shirley Baechler. The,
;ladies' ladies' have worked hard this
year and it is great to see .the
enthusiasm rising, Nice work

Our ladies afternoon of golf
.was quite 'successful for our
first; Doris Paquette from the
Maitland Club -wan low gross
for the day. Willa 'Williams of
the .•Sunset won the low net
prize. Marg' Smith was the door
prize winrer� The weather was
not so .favourable but ,did
manage to clear some in the
tater part of the day. The fall
setti4 in the club house helped
make the girls •foul cheery and
bright after a Cold,'windy game
of golf. Next year I think the -
girls will choose June fdr their
ladies' day.
'"' Let's hope we get some sun-
shine in October as golfing in
the fall can be ,Pretty colourful.
The club house • will still be
open daily, (weather permit-
ting) for the month of October.
