Progress has all but eliminated

communities such as Ben-'
mil ler.
Last week the men of the
community converged on 'the
Benmiller Hall Park for a light
raising. About:20 „0 residents of
Colborne Township were on
hand with traitors, trucks and
ropes to install the 45=foot light'
standards at the park.
The Be.nnn,'iller Foresters
Lodge sponsored the entire
operation. The group pur-
chased the lights from the
Town of Goderich and 'bought
the towers and . footings to
-mount .them on. The lights are
the original Goderich Ball park
lights and have -been converted
by the.Foresters for• use in Ben -
miller.
On Tuesday Gerry Ginn,
President of the Lodge, and
Bill Bogie, Chairman of the
ball committee, organized work
parties to in4tail the' .towers.
The men ppured 10 ytlyds'°of
concrete 'to form the six
footings required to support the
standards -On Wednesday they
gathered to ,install the towers
and dig the trenches for the
wiring and on Thursday Gary
Sproul completed the electrical
servicing. •
The 11entire project cost. the
