workshop, in Goderich' last.
Friday with the theme "The
Challenge of Restructuring
Local Governri entd' agree that
Huron needs some kind of
amalgamation of services
and/or municipalities.
There was, however, nb hard
and fast decision forthcoming
from the . day -long seminar
sponsored jointly by ACRO
(Association ' of Counties- and
Regions of Ontario) .and
OARM (Ontario Association of
Rural.Municipalities)1
Every m-unicipality in Huron
was'represented by at least one
citizen, •usually the reeve,
deputy -reeve or some other
member of council.
Keynote speaker was Allan
Masson, ,c:hlkirmanf the,

Halton.
Regional government,' accor-

use in polite society".
"Huron County Council has
been fighting for autonomy and
against regional government a°s ,

sideration for Huron.
Masson said in the Region of
