H Girls held their meeting
Monday evening in the Carlow
Hall. All the members an-
swered the roll .call "The Type
of Hair I have and "how I will
care for it". Discussion was on
Achievement day and books are
to be in Clinton by May 17th.
The 'lead,ers and members then
discussed the different charac
teristics of their- figures and
body action and posture.,'...

Tiger Dunlop Institute mem-
bers are reminded that the
April meeting will be on Thur-
sday, April 25th 2 p.m. instead
of Wednesday this month,
„ because of an Achieven)ent Day
in Clinton on Wednesday for
the class of "New Ideas with
Sewing Knits". This will be a
special :meeting, with special
speaker on "Hea.lth:'. Plan to
attend. Visitors are welcome.
A practical joker:apparently
was at work on some of the
sideroads last week, ,knocking
off mail boxes. This may be a
joke for -some`. but for the
majority it causes •a lot of
trouble and inconvenience. In
some cases new mail boxes
have to be purchased' and .put
up- and this is no Joke, -

The second slogan ofthe current DRMCo safety contest has been attached to the poster in
the background. The ppster''depicts a man getting his hair caught' in a drill while bending
over. This type of accident is always under investigstipn by the Department of Labor Inspec-
tor, according to plant safety co-ordinator Bill Barlow.,The winning slogan was submitted by
Warren James although hfs.son wrote it. Mr. James intends to give the money to his son who
is in the hospital with a knee ailment. The slogan is Keep Your Head And Use,Your Skill,

•All -Stars found a three week
lay-off too much to overcome in
the WOAA' Grand Champion-
ship tournament held last
weekend°• in Palmerston.
The Suns had not played
since winning the WOAA„Zone
I championship against. Mit-
chell in March.
Intheir first game the
Goderich team, who are the 'A'
champions, met Walkerton, the
'B' series champions, and
played well” for two periods,
holding a 3-2 lead going into
'the final period. However
Walkerton, fresh from their 'B'
series' victory over Kincardine
earlier in the W;eelk, had the
skating legs in the third period
and scored' four. unanswered
goals` to win 6.:3.
Darrell Graham scored two
goals for the Suncoast Suns
One accident
in Goderich
Goderich police report no in-
juries resulting from an ac-
cident April 14, when a car
driven b'y Kevin Merrigan,
110A Newgate St., collided
° with another driven by Donald
G. Sheardown, 40 Essex St., at,
the intersection :of St. David
and Victoria Streets.
Damage to the Merriga•n car
was $350 while the Sheardown
vehicle had $200 damage,
police estimate.
In other duties, police of-
ficers' la.idy, two charges. under
the Criminal Code, one ,under
the Narcotics Control • Act, 44
under the Highm'ray Traffic Act,
and 11 under provisions of the
Liquor. Control Act. •
while Larry Boyce got the other
Goderich goal.
Larry Kelly had two assists
and played a strong game for
Goderich: He was robbed twice
on clear-cut breakaways. t
Randy Reid scored four of
the Walkerton goals.and Robin
Robishaw got the other two.
Walkerton went on to win
the Grand Championship,
defeating Brussels 6-4 in the
final game 01' win the trophy
held last ,year' by toderich.
In their second game, the
Suncoast Suns droppsd a 4-2
verdict to Palmerston, the
"DD" champions.
.Larry Kelly, assisted by John
Alexander scored the first
Goderich goal. Darrell Graham
scored on an assist from Randy
Graham for the other Arps
marker.

Despite the losses, coach
Richard Madge and manager,,
John Bakker expressed
satisfaction with the effort of
,the boys, and also expressed
their thanks to the parents and
the team sponsors, Suncoast
Estates, for their support
during the season. -
Both the coach and manager
have indicated they will be
returning to the same positions
next season.
