28, on a construction site' when
400 degree tar 'poured through
an opening in the roof.
It struck him on the hard
hat, causing second degree
burns 'to his` wrists. Most im-
portant, his hard hat saved his
eyes And face"„from severe
rns.
He could - have lost his
eyesight.
As a result of this accident,
Mr. Pergel became member 64
of the Gladhatters Club, 'for-
med by theConstruction Safety
Association of Ontario.

for .the purchase of the vehicle.
The bus is a Dodge maxivan,

Ltd:, Clinton. The van has been
=fitted with an extended 'roof
;and a wheel-cliai.r..l.ift which is.
electrically operated. 'It will
carrynine persons, four of,
whore can remain right in their
wheelchairs.
