Regarding snow removal this past winter, Britnell ,said he would estimate a 25 percent decrease in the winter control budget up to the i'nd of 197:1. He said the last snowstorm in raid -March cost the county over $6,l)00 for snow removal. .'Nature has :r way of evening things up," said Britnell who claims this was "an unusual winter'' GODERICH SIGNAL -STAR, THURSDAY, APRIL 5, 1973—PAGE 9A CRAFT SUPPERS by Lswisaraft ARTISTS MATERIALS by Grumbaoher STORE HOURS: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m - t 2:00 porn. to 5:30 p.m. PHONE '524-6815 the craft corner 46 HAMILTON S1 G00tttt(N Farmers Are you thinking about building? County Engineer Jim Britnell told council at last Thursday's session that at times, the wall was moving as much as two inches a day. He said studies show that the only way to alleviate the problem is to flatten the slope to a two and a half foot horizontal to one foot; vertical slope. Work has already begun on the project which will cost an estimated $150,000, including legal fees. Expenses will be recovered, it is believed, through legal action against the designer - ,contractor for breach of contract.
