Local 335 attended an N.F.U.
meeting in Toronto last week.
The emphasis is on certified
collective bargaining for all
Canadian farmers. This means
the legal right of farmers to set
prices, terms and conditions of
sale of their own products.
This is not a new idea. It .is
simply asking the Government
to extend to farmers_ the same
general privileges which it has
given to other working groups.
P.E.I. potato producers voted
id favor of having the N.F.U. as
their' t trgaining agent: This
has been introduced into the
legislature, and if passed by the
CampbellGovernment, it will
be the first tini -in Canada -
and probably in the world -
that farmers have been able to
use a farmer's union as their
bargaining agent.
Thank You
HURON!
My sincere thanks to the
electors of Huron for the over-
whelming support at the polls
on Mar. 15th.
My appreciation also to all
those who worked so hard on
my behalf in the election cam-,
paign.
I will certainly endeavour to
represent ALL the—people of
Huron to the very best of my
ability.
