North Street United Church Gym (Mondays, 9-11 p.m. anti Wednesdays 9-11 p.m., and Saturdays, 1-4 p.m.), and thus far the .response has been encouraging. So, if you're looking for something to do, come on down! Plans -for an arts and crafts workshop 1n batik, and- a judb clinic are- n©w" underway. The date for the batik workshop has been set for Saturday, February 24th, and more information can be obtained through our office (caul Jan Huckins or Joan Spit- tal at 524-9111), or through our -weekly column. The judo clinic has'been scheduled for the mid- dle of March. Additional infor- mation to be found again, through the above sources. The recreation committee is also attempting to establish a "job bank", or listing of odd jobs or temporary. employment. So if you are looking for work of this nature, or if you are'a potential employer, we'd like to hear from you. Human Relations This committee is progressing quite well. With the help of Lorraine Cauchi, R.N., and Ann Sills., Public Health nurse; a • few subjects and apeakers have already been located. These subjects will be presented in the form, of bi: weekly seminars with guest speakers, films, pamphlets and discussion. A few sample ideas for sub- jects -as seminars have been: nutrition, venereal disease (laws_ and medical aspects), contraceptives, family .plan- ning, human sexuality, abor- tion (legal, medical, and psychological aspects), broken homes, parent-child relations, sex and marriage , A decision will soon , be, reached as to exactly when find where these seminars will take place.
