Some area residents were
without hydro for over three
hours on Wednesday evening.
Supper was enjoyed by "Can-
dlelight" - that is , if you were
lucky enough to have the meal
cooked by 5:30'. p.m. when the
hydro -failed. Power was
restored at 7 pxn. but only for a
half hdur. It was not until after
9 that the trouble was finally
repaired. •

was in collision With a car
driven by Gerrard P.gartori of
186 Brock St.
The collision occurred at the
corner of. Cayley and Widder
Streets. Damage was estimated
at .$400 to the Sartori vehicle
and, $1,000 to the dairy truck.

Moncd'hy January 8 at 6 p.m. ,
a Guenther Tuckey tractor and
tanker driven by George De
Jong went out of control on
Highway 8 near ,the Sheaffer
Pen Co. The truck skidded
across the highway knocking
out a hydro pole and corning to
rest between two trees.
Damage to the truck was
about $3,000 and to the hydro
pole ,$206. Town Constable
Fortner -,investigated.
