Legion Sailors tied the game. on an unassisted ' goal by Jim Mathers, and getting the win- ning goal was Joey Morrisey. LEGION NOVICE ALL-STARS The 'Legion Novice All -Stars played two games at home last weekend. Friday night, • they blasted Bayfield, a new team in the WOAA league this year, 24-0. Danny Maillet and Jim Frit - zley had four goals each, while Larry Madge and Larry Boyce had three goals apiece. Larry Gaynor, Larry °Kelly and. Jim Costello had two goals each, while' singles went .,to Robert • McDonald, Mike ' Hodges, Duane Elliott and John Huff. On Saturday, ,the Novice All Stars were to. play South-West London, but the London, team could not get here because of the snow storm. Instead, the 'Legionnaires took on coach Russ Pruder's Pee Wee "B" team. The game provided some 1•eally good hockey, from both teams, and ended in a 2-2 tie. Dan Maillet and Jim Costello were the Legion goal - ,,getters. Larry Madge and Mike Hodges assisted on Co4tello's -goal. Larry McGee and Doug Cruickshank scored the B's goals, with assists going to Mills and Duncan. ""Saturday at 7:30 p.m. the Novice All -Stars played host to Seaforth in a WOAA game. These two teams appear to be the pick of the league, with Seaforth being undefeated so far, and Goderich's only loss TO THE ELECTORS OF. Ian Chisholm and Larry Daer led the attack with two goals each. Bruce Melick picked up a goal and two assists while Brian Reed got a goal and one assist. .Other point-getteis were Tom Dougherty with a goal; Randy Stoddard, Tom Schram and .Dwayne Ross each had an assist. TUESDAY, DECEMBER 12th, Goderich Restaurant 3, Sifto Salt 1. Steven Doney opened the scoring for Goderich Restaurant in the first period, unassisted, then ' Terry Shoemaker made it 2-0. Sifto Salt fought back as W. Jackson got their goal, with Terry Kisch assisting. Rick Leddy got the last goal' to give G.oderich Restaurant the win. Kevin Bundy picked up a shut -out .as Goderich Restaurant are giving . the Club Grill a run for their 1 money for first " place in.. the standings. Dale Duncan scored two unassisted goals and Brian Huisser and Jeff King each picked up a goal to lead. the Goderich. The Club Grill continue to be the top team ' as they had g pressure on ro the Sifto Salt w goalie throughout the _ whole game, and came through with 'a 6-1 victory. Ron Kirkconnell spoiled Scott Williams' shut- • M out as he scored in the third period for Sifto Salt. It was a team effort for the Club Grill as Ron Stoddard, Don Caughlin, Tony Bedard, Larry Daer, Brian Reed and Tom Dougherty. each scored a goal. Team roster and stanfing to date would be appreciated from the convener. A gP 'ROTARY BANTAM - ALL-STARS ' A real team effort can do •a lot, and it did, as the Rotary Bantams came out of their slump' to defeat Zurich 9-3. In the first period the Rotary Ban- tams took a 3-1 lead on• goals by Mike Cummings, Tim McLean and Paul McKay. Bill Walter got Goderich's only goal in the second period.
