THE DAYS OF
CHRISTMAS
It,was the last day of school'
before Christmas holidays and
everyone was excited. This last
afternoon we were . to have a
party. Our teacher decided that
some of us should bring games
and others bring records,,
In the afternoon, we played
the games and listened to the
records. Afterwards, our
teacher gave us Christmas
cookies, candies and chocolate
. milk for a treat. We were all
0 glad to get out of scho 1 for a
nice holiday.
When I arrived ome,
11 however, it wasn't so nice. I
had tap help clean and make
everything look presentable as
my grandmother was coming
for Christmas .also.
Yi One day a great big box came
• from my other grandmother
filled with preents. When
M Mom put them under the
"Tree", my sister and t tried to
Wguess what they were.
l& • Christmas Eve finally came!
✓ The next morning we went to
ticssee what was in our stockings.
We woke our parents very
ft early. They were _provoked _hilt
The Ahmeek Chapter of the I.O.D.E. honored two of their.

ter breakfast we opened our

things to each other. We finally
finished and then had -Christ-
mas dinner.

A THOUGHT OF
LIFE CHRISTMAS •
It was the • Friday before
.Christmas. I had .,just been
dismissed from school and was
on my way' home. I had just
• became aware of how Christ-
•..., mase it looked ,,with‘the cobur
ful, lights on the trees, 'and
houses. On one house, there
was a cardboard Santa Claus
E with his reindeer on the roof.
:When I had reached home 1
rushed in the house to get
warm. • •

I sat down in a chair' and
thought why 'we celebrate
Christmas. I .thought of Jesus
in the stable and the loving
care Mary' and Joseph gave
him. Of the gifts the Wise Men
gave Jesus which reminded me
to get my gifts and place them
under the tree. Although I
think of this when I think of
Christmas, I still think Christ-
mas means being alone with
your family.
Jim Cutt.
A MEANINGFUL
CHRISTMAS
As I clambered out bf bed, I
suddenly remembered "it was
Christmas.
I ran to seek the rest.. of the
family, •it seemed everyone was
still asleep. I look at the clock
in the kitchen, 7:30, alittle
early yet I thought. So I went
back to bed, and thought about
what Christmas really is.
I remembered what I had
been taught about, Mary,
Joseph, the Three Kings, the
shepherds and, of course, Jesus.
I tied it all together in my mind
and found a lesson there.
Christmas is not just a day
for giving and receiving gifts
but to remember Jesus Christ
gave his life to save you and
me. I'll never forget that
Christmas, the most
meaningful Christmas I ever
had.
