Goderich. In Port. Elgin on Sunday Port Elgin came back with a 4-2 victory. Goderich opened up a 6-0 lead in the game Friday night before Port Elgin got on the, scoreboard. George Gould scored the opening goal at 12:30 from Austin Fults. Gould took Fult's pass just inside the blueline and drove a low shot into the lower left hand corner under the Port F.laini vnalip's pad. , 16:01 of the second from Art McDougal.; Ron Miller made, it 4 after two periods from Art McDougall.` and_ R.on.. Brown McDougall scored at 9:42 of the third from ' Tom Crawford. Austin Fults scored Gotierich's final goal at 11:34 from Wayne Doak and Jim Farrish. Garry Robertson scored Port Elgin's first goal at 15:06 from Dan Samler. Robertson was left alone in front of the net and slipped the puck under Rob Kellestine. Les Grant scored Port Elgin's final goal at 19:49 from Garry Robertson and Dan Samler in a scramble around the front of the net. Mr. Thomas will submit his report and recommendations to the Minister concerned before the end of 1972. The Canadian Soccer Association has agreed to co- operate. and has assigned' its Executive Director, Eric. King, to act in a liaison capacity to co- ordinate the support of the Association. Sport Canada will assist in the study and has ' appointed Ted Peterson as co-ordinator. Claude Lacasse, also of Sport Canada, will work with Mr. Peterson. Mr. Thomas will call upon and solicit views from Canadians interested in the development of soccer. Goderich was shooting from far- ther out on Earle Grant. Goderich was assessed six minors and one ten •minute misconduct. Port Elgin took seven minors and one miscon- duct. In Port Elgin on Sunday, Port Elgin scored three times in the first period to defeat Goderich 4- 2. Jim McKinnon opened the scoring at 4:50 of the first from Rick Schell and Ron Bell. On Sunday at the Dungannon United Church the service of baptism was solemnized for John Robert, son of Mr. 'and Mrs. Robt. G. Wright; Melissa .Jane daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Derk Logtenberg; and Paul Van, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Dawson. Another special part of the service was the dedication of the two gifts received from St. Paul's Anglican church i.e. the piano and a candle snuffer, the latter being the gift of Mrs. Gor- don Congram. Mrs. Robert Bere suffered a stroke' to her right side and is in Goderich hospital. Bert McWhinney of Crewe is also a patient in Goderich hospital; since Friday. Paul Kelly led the Juveniles with ,. four goals and three assists. Bruce Bowman had two goals and one assist and Al Sheleton scored twice. Tim McAstocker, .. Brian Thompson and Phil Evans scored the other Juvenile goals. Thompson also had one assist. Dan Duncan assisted on two goals and I a n MacAdam and Wayne Ladd on one each. Ron Whetstone led Sifto Salt with a goal and assist. Wayne Cook, Jim McAsto,cker and Ken Davidson scored the other Sifto goals. In the second period, Fred' Armstrong rr scored a,2:46 from Fred Papple. Del 'Bedard scored' at 7:23 from, Fred Papple and Fred Arm- strong. Bedard. scored DR- MQ's final goal at 15:17 of the third from Jtke Allin, Pete Postill spoiled Bill Hutchins shutout bid at 19:30 of the third with an unassisted effort,' Building Centre and the Juveniles both have 3-0 records for six' points.
