Folk- singers
will appear
at St. George's
A group of folksingers will be
giving a concert in St. George's
Church on November 5 at 3 p.m.
The Albanaires are a group of
forty mixed voices and ten
instrumentalists from St.
Alban's Church, London, who
travel throughout Southwestern
Ontario with their popular folk
concerts. They appeared last
Sunday, on the Singtime Show
on CKNX-TV.
The Albanaires repertoire,
always changing, covers •a wide
range •of religious music from
Old-time evangelistic favorites
to neW tunes. in modern idiom
and " style. Their first record
."Someone's. Singing" was a
complete sell-out and a second,
"Come Alive",, has been much
in demand. A third record .is
being cut this fall.
Any profit made by this group
of young folk singers is given to
help the budget of this 'young
congregation in London.
