Huron Road be rezoned from

backed up by a petition signed,
by all ,but two residents in, the
area in which°he laves. Harrison
,said there was no hurry for this
change, but added that the town
would derive greater benefits
and better planning if the area
was rezoned commercial.
Gary Davidson. said that
parking would be a major
problem in a high -traffic area
such as Huron Road. Harrison
reminded him that in that
district, there would be ample
room for the provision of off-
street parking such. as at the
present Canadian Tire location.
Some members of the plan-
ning board felt, that while, it is
true there is a scattering of com-
mercial businesses already
existing in that district, the
residential zoning should
remain. They said the land is
slowly reverting to its
`designated use".

day evening, to visit Mr. and

Mr. and Mrs. F red Young and
John spent Sunday in London
with "Chuck" who has had fur-
ther check-up on his hands. He
is doing well in his re-
habilitation studies. The Youngs
also visited a sister-in-law Mrs.
Marjorie Moore in St. Joseph's
Hospital, and Mr. and Mrs.
Harold Maclwain at their
home. Mrs. Maclwain had
recently' returned from hospital.
Jack. Caesar flew from
Manton on Sunday for one
week's holiday in Portugal. He
is a.C.K.N.X. salesman who was
awarded this trip.
William Wiggins has been a
patient in Wingham Hospital
this past week.
Dungannon Supper Servers

The fifth :meeting of the
Dungannon Supper Servers was
held at the home of Mrs. Macln-`
nis on Wed., Oct. 4 at 7 p.m.
Lois Adams brought the
meeting to order with everyone
reciting the 4-H pledge.
Roll call was 'everyone giving
an addition to the lunch box
The secretarial report 'was
read,
After Linda • and -Bev read-
about lunch box meals, mem-
bers discussed them. The han-
dout sheets were filled in.
Sandwiches were enjoyed by
all at the close of the meeting.
The 6th meeting of the
Dungannon Supper Servers was

Young on Wed. Oct. 11 at 7 p.m.

Meals a Day'". Demonstration
was Submarine Sandwiches.
Mrs. Maclnnis made a Super
Hero while Lois Adams and
Kathy Doherty put together a
sandwich of their own style.
They were enjoyed by all.
As a prelude to the 1973 season the Goderich senior soccer
team travelled to London on Sunday for an exhibition game
against the German Canadians there.._The local'team_dropped_ ..
a 5-1 decision but further plans were made for the new Huron

The grand master'saddress
was mainly devoted to the
"Jesuit issue," and the meeting
subsequently passed a
resolution demanding

called upon the Order to resist
"the persistent- efforts of the
Roman hierarchy to destroy the
national system of education
throughout the Dominion,"

. of Protestant Ontario."
On the second day of the.
session the delegates, headed by
the town band, marched to the
harbor and were taken for a
three-hour lake ride aboard the
Beatty Line streamer Cam-
pania.

Master Wallace, Mayor John
Butler, Hon. Mackenzie Bowell
and Senator Clemow.
Mr. Wallace declared the
Goderich meeting "the most im-
portant ever held by Grand
Lodge."

His motion received the ap-
proval of the planning board
and will go before council for
ratification. :
Obituary
A long-time businessman in
Goderich; Reg. Bell, died
Tuesday night following a long
illness. Funeral services will be
held Friday at 2:00 p.m. from
the Stiles Funeral Horne in
Goderich:.A full obituary will
appear in next week s ediition of
the Signal -Star.
