Discuss- snow removal
Colborne Township Council
niet in regular session on
Tuesday October 3 with all
members present. Accounts
totalling $6,357.17 were ap-
proved for payment.
Frank Wilson, a part-time
Recreation Convener for, Huron
County from the office of the
Huron County Planning Depart-
ment 'outlined his 1972 project
in regard to the Lake Huron
shore -line development and he
suggested that the
municipalities become interested
in developing public roads to
Lake Huron. , • •
A' delegation of ratepayers ap-
proached Council regarding
snowplowing anj snow removal
equipment. Various means of
snow removal and compared
cost of grader plowing, truck
plowing and snowplowing using
snowblowers on local farm trac-
tors' were discussed. Council
formed the delegation that a
large new truck Was ordered.
Also discussed was the time in
the mornings that township
roads should be cleared of snow.
A request for the cleaning of
the Borland Municipal Drain
was received. Councillor Roy
Allin was instructed to inspect
• the Drain. Four delegates
signified intentions of attending
the 1973 Good Roads Conven-
tion.
Plans were discussed for
repairing or building a new roof
