GEORGE VANDERBURGH Brenda Allin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clive Allin, Goderich, was wed to George Vanderburgh, son of Mr. and Mrs.' Albert` Vanderburgh, Goderich, ' Saturday, July 8 at 3:00 p.m. -Reverend W rr conducted the double -ring ceremony atVictoria Street United Church, Goderich. Decorations' were baskets of yellow daisies and white mums. The organist was Mrs. J. Snyder as Mary Ann Frayne and Diane Buchanan sang "Green -- Pastures", Green -- Pastures",. "Wedding Benediction", and "Take Us Lord". The bride, given in marriage , by:her father, wore a long„white sheer crystalet gown, with a Victorian neckline and two rows ...of pleated crystalet, touched off with French lace from 'shoulder "to hemline. The sleeves were long and puffed with a wide cuff trimmed with matching lace. A long cathedral train was held in place from the waist with a bow: A four -tier silk illusion veil was held in place by a Queen's -tiny crown of cfystal and pearls. The radiant bride' carried a bouquet ' of red roses. The matron of honor, Linda Allin of Goderich, wore a long dress of turquoise swiss dot -with short puffy sleeves and .a high neckline. The dress had an, empire waist. Yellow daisies adorned her hair, 'while she ""carried a bouquet of yellow daisies and yellow rosebuds. The bridesmaids, Miss Darlene • Draper of Goderich, and Miss Bonnie Johnston ' of Nile, were attired the same as _ the matron of honor. The groom is an Honours graduate, -in applied mathematics from the University of Western Ontario, and the bride is a graduate in arts from U,W.O. and also radiology from - Victoria Hospital, - London. A shower was: held at Mrs. Diane ' Buchanan's assisted by Mrs. Hellie Kloeze and .Mrs. Irene Vanderburgh previous to the. wedding. Odendahl, who retired from the active ministry at the end of July. - Mr. Garratt; --after twenty- one years in business, trained for the ministry at Wycliffe College, Toronto. It had a' sweetheart neckline, and long fitted sleeves trimmed with organza ruffles, Her long sleeveless coat ended in a chapel train edged with lace and she wore a full-length veil held in place by a rose headpiece, edged with matching lace.
