Auxiliary of the Alexandra
General and Marine Hospital are
gratified that the proceed from
the Penny Fair -and Tea will
purchase a cardiograph machine
for the hospital.. The support of
the citizens of Goderich ,and the
surrounding area is- much
appreciated.
The Penny,Fair Tea was held in
the hall of Knox Presbyterian
Church'on Wednesday, May 31st.

flowers, were flanked with large
baskets of lilacs, tulips and iris.

Bell.
Mrs. M. I?etherington played
livery piano music throughout the
tea hour. '
Tea arrangements were made
by Mrs. G.C. ,White assisted' by
Mrs, B. Crew. Tea' was poured
from a'White linen covered table

centred with an arrangement of
lily -of -the -valley, white lilac and
pink tulips in a silver bowl and'
silver candelabra with pink
candles.

Howey were the pri..ze Committee
and Mrs. J. Kinkead was in charge
of personnel.
Denomme Flowers gave the use
of the store as headquarters for -- '
the Penny Fair which is much
appreciated.
Mrs. L. Vincent looked after_
the advertising for this eyent.
Mrs. J. Berry announced the
winners of the Penny ,Fair draw
during the tea hour.

M1.s Lena Robinson retired
last Friday, June 2 after 22 years
of dedf'cated- service at the
Alexandra Marine and General
Hospital.
Miss Robinson graduated from
Wingham- Hospital in 193.1 as a
registered nurse, and later did
specialduty until spe went to work
with Dr. W.B. Johnsson : -in .
Lucknow. She stayed with Dr.
Johnson for eight year's until she
joined 'the staff at Alexandra
Marine and General Hospital in
1950.
