Victoria Street United Church, Aptil 8.

The organist was Mrs. Joseph A. Snider of Goderich and
soloist43ill Stiles of Goderich sang The Wedding Hymn and -0
Father All Creating.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose an elegant
regal gown of white crystalette. The empire waist and high
neckline were trimmed with Belgium lace and matching daisies
all around, the skirt. Falling from the shoulders was a cathedral
train,: also trimmed. with matching daisies. 'A -matching,'
headdress. trimnied with sequins and lace held a four -tier pure
silk illusion Veil and she darried a bouquet of, pink carnations
and white roses. -
Attendants were Miss Janet Willis. maid of honor: Mrs. Bill
Boak and Miss Cathy Lowey, bridesmaids. They chose
identical floorrlengrargavns in two-tone white sheer tops WilTi-
yel row organza gathered skirts, bands of' matching yellow peau
de soie at waistlines and large bows in front and long Victorian
sleeve's; tight Waistbands covered with, matching yellow
buttons. They wore large yPIlow brim hats. They carried
'bo.viquets of white daisies.. ••
•Willithri Bokof Goderich, friend of the groom, was best
• man. Kenneth Meriam, brother of the bride and Blair Scott.
brother of the groom from Charlottetown; P.E.I., ushered.
Receiving the 'guests in the church parlor, the bride's
mother wore a pink poIyester crepe dress and coat ensemble,
trimmed with French • braid, black accessories and a corsage of
white miniature roses:
The groom's mother assisted costumed in an:apricot crepe
-ensemble- trimmed withLaprieo,t, brai4-overrnetallie•-with pearl
buttOns and a sleeveless coat. of apricot and white, black
accessories and corsage of white miniature roses.
Leaving for a honeymoon to Boston. Mass., the bride
changed to a two-piece English crimplene cape and start
ensemble of blen g,mauve and ,,pink, maute crepe blouse,
White, accessOries d a co mauve miniature carnations.,

Tait Clark on Historical
Research.
Mrs. Gordon Kaitting gave a
brief talk on pollution. In
studying the causes of pollution,
members could play an
important part in the prevention
of it.
The guest speaker was Mrs. H.
G. Hoernig on horticulture. She
gave a very interesting synopsis
of a book 'she had read oh
gardening without the use of
,chemical sprays and insecticides.
In working with nature using
organic and 'natural material for
fertilizer, Worms are encouraged
and 'help irrigation, she ( said.
Lady beetles, preying mantis and
other beneficial insects, with the
birds, 'work with man and thrive
on obnoxious bugs.
The president , thanked the
speaker. Lunch ,was served by
Mrs. Rod , Bogie, Mrs. Ernest
Bogie and Mrs. HarveY Fisher.
