here last week, to end the season
undefeated and M. first place.
Mitchell, by virtue of the tie,
finished' second in othe leaguev
standings, behind Goderich. -
The two°teams were well
matched. Mitchell played with
the benefit of the wind behind
them in the first half, and kept
steady ptessure on the Goderich
side that resulted, in their goal at
the 19 minute mark. After this;
Goderich bsegan to take over the
play, but were unable to score in
the remaining minutes of the
first 'half despite several close
chances. ,
The GDCI team kept up their
assault as the second half began
and at the six ;minute mark,.
Cord Fisher scored off a Ioos!e'
ball fumbled by the Mitchell;
goaltender on a free kick by Carl
Refflinghaus,
Mitchell had a chance.to win
,,, the °game on a penalty shot with
five minutes remaining, but the
shot went high.
Froin that point on, the

game in Wingham, who are in
.Second place, with a 4-1 record.
A victory for Goderich would
give them a share of second
place..
BIG GAME
The Senior game in Wingham.
is also a big one. Both Goderich
and s Wingham enter the game
unddfe'ated, and the ivinner vvi#1
emerge as league champions.
Coach Wayne Horner feels his.
team is not as sharp as it should
be because of lack of
competition so far in. the
schedule. He figures Wingham
will provide the real .test for his
club. They are reported to rely
on a big, tooth defense and an
offense that can take advantage
of any breaks they receive. -
• If the Seniors win, they will
,then play St. Marys, the third
place_finishers,_in the semi-finals..
If Goderich loses to Wingham,
they will meet South' Huron,
who finished fourth, in
semi-final action.
Ontario Hydro's assets, which
reached more than $4 billion in
1969, are expected to double
during the 1970s.
