The monthly meeting of the .Wallcerburn club was held at the home of Mrs, Roy Daer with • Mrs, Lorne Hunking in charge. . The meeting was opened by Singing 0 Canada followed by prayer by Mrs. Garth McClinchey. The minutes of tlie previous meeting, were accepted as read by the - secretary, Mrs. Elliott Lapp. The financial Statement was given by the treasurer, Mrs. Tom Cunningham. Mrs. Ted Hunking reported that the Londesboro Messengers had donated $5 • toward the Adopted Child Fund. An invitation to attend the Auburn Women's Institute on June 16th was accepted. Mrs. Ted flunking was in charge of a musical number. The draw prize •I donated by Mrs. Roy Daer was, won by Mrs. Lloyd Penfound. Mrs. John Hallam' invited the 01 - Members to her honie for the June meeting and the roll call is to be answered' b9 the paying -of fees. The program Will be in charge of Mrs. James Jackson and Mrs. George Schneider and the lunch committee will be Mrs. • Brian Hallam and Mrs. • ,Ronald Gross. There will also be a bake sale at the next meeting. The guest 'speaker of the ••evening was Mrs. Lloyd Walden, of 'Westfield. She was introduced by MrsNriald Gross. 'She demongtrated, her beauty ' products and spoke on beauty care. Her 'models were Mrs. Garth McClirichey and . Mrs. RonaldGross. Mrs. Gross thanked Mr. Walden and 'presented her with a small gift. A penny sale of plants and slips was held and a lunch was served by Mrs. Daer, Mrs. John Hallam arrd Mrs. Elliott Lapp.. Personals - A memorial organ placed in St. Mark's Anglican Church by Mrsc, Gordon R. Taylor in. memory of her late husband, Mr. Gordon R. Crop report All crops look excellent with white bean seeding 60 per cent completed. Hay harvesting has begun particularly for haylage, with some alfalfa weevil damage' noted. Public schools track and field meet held The annual Goderich Schools track and field day was held at Victoria Public School on Wednesday, June ,O with students from Robertson Public School joining the host school Jor the day.
