outlined the agenda for the

, Father Moynahan to say a few
words. Father Moynahan said he
was there to listen. to the
► comments and suggestions of the
people. He would voice neither
approval nor disapproval of- any
suggestions, but would take into

Mr. Morrissey introduced
rr Sister • Barbara and Sister Doreen
as ex -officio members of the
board of advisors since the last
general meeting and also

r-d-i_nator,..:-...-.-IVlrs... —Muriel_
Murphy, for her reporC:'"•"MY=s.
Murphy reported that both the
ushers and the lay readers were
doing an excellent job. She .
reported that she would be
attending a retreat for married
couples in the near future arid
would report the feasibility 'of
holding a retreat here Ain
Goderich. She then asked the
parishioners to consider whether
or not they would like to have a
folk mass on a Sunday.
The temporal .committee
co-ordinator Mr. P. McCauley
• - reported that they had installed
•
•
•
a new furnace in the rectory, to
replace the 55 year old one. He
stated there is a considerable
amount of repair and decorating
needed in the .church. It was
hoped to get an expert opinion
on the redecorating job.
Consideration is also being given
to erecting a new, larger sign
outside the ,church with the
times for masses. He also stated .
that a financial report would be
printed in the bulletin next
January. He asked the
parishioners to consider several
designs he had for erecting a
railing _long the steps outside
the church.
The entertainment and
recreation committee report was
read by Mr. Clem Steffler. Mr.
• Steffler asked the parishioners to
consider two projects for this
committee (1) a "Nod and
Chatter" club in the parish hall
wheref•arishioners can
congregate after mass on
Sundays for coffee and a chat
• with their fellow parishioners
and (2) a baby sitting service to
be setup to look after infants
and toddlers_,. _during__ mass.
Parishioners would be invited to
donate time to promote this
service.
Mr. Lassaline reported on the
Christian action committee." He
said that on his committee
representatives of the C.W.L., K.
of C. and youth activities would
funnel activities to appropriate
groups as far as possible. Mr.
Helmut Krohmer, the adult
representative on the Catholic
youth organization reported the
organization was coming along
splendidly. So far they are

is also considering a welfare and
relief program.
The meeting was then `open
for discussion. The people were
asked to stand and voice their
opinion on the co-ordinators'
reports. Many suggestions were
made and co-ordinators will
discuss them with .their
committees before the next
-board of advisors meeting.
The chairman explained the
structure of the Parish council
and invited any person who
'wished to serve, on a committee
to sign their name on the posters'
displayed. As there had been one
resignation from the board in
the person of Brian Markson, it
was necessary to hold
nominations and election of a
replacement, with 'Mrs. W
Palmer elected to the board of
advisors.
The chairman asked if there
were any other questions the
parishioners would like
answered. Mrs. H. Ensenberger
said she would like some
arrangements made to. drive
patients of b the Goderich
