United Church last Sunday was
led by Ed Haines and members
of the Hi -C group, Miss Jennifer
Grange presided at the organ.

meeting with a hymn. Mrs.

the accordion.. The scripture
lesson was read by Mrs. John
Daer.
The topic was given by Mrs.
Jim Schneider. Mrs. Ed. Davies
gave the missionary theme. Mrs.

travelling apron received a penny
for each letter in "A summer
flower". Cards were signed by
the members for Rev. R. Meally
in Ireland and for Mrs. Charles
Stott who is ill in Goderich
Hospital. Mrs, • Andrew
Kirkconnell thanked the IkCW
for the shower given in honour
of her daughter, Mary, who is to
be married soon. A successful
auction was held., The hostess,
with her daughter, Mrs. Eileen
Short, served a dainty lunch. -

Thompson of Goderich.
The Rev. J. Donald
MacDonald of Goderich was in
charge of the service with burial
in, Ball's Cemetery. Pallbearers
were Messers Charles, George,
Calvin, Ross, Mason and Roy
Robinson.

MISSUARION BRYOGES
Miss Marion Brydges; " a
resident of Maitland Manor died
at her residence on „Saturday
July 26, after a lengthy illness.
She was 75.
Miss Brydges was born on
Febu 21, 1894 at Ashdod,
Ontario, a daughter of Herman
Brydges and the former Janet
'McGregor. She lived in the
Renfrew and ToEonto areas
before moving to. Goderich in
April 1965.
She was an adherent of the
United Church.
Surviving are three brothers,
Carl, Ho l 1 oway, Ontario;
Emerson, Renfrew; Clifford,
Sault Ste. Marie and a sister Mrs.
Richard George, Ajax.
The funeral service was held
• at Lodge. Funeral Home on
Tuesday July 29, at 2 p.m. Rev.
Leonard Warr officiated.
Interment was in Maitland
Cemetery. Pallbearers were
Frank Wilson, Bert Finlay,
William Westlake and Charles
Breckow.
• Mrs. Ho R. Johnston, Essex,
and Mrs. Harold L. Hickey,
Denver, Colorado, and ,Miss
Evelyn Clark, ' Ottawa, spent a
few days visiting in Goderich
with friends and relatives. All
were former residents of
Goderich, ',daughters of the late
Mr„ and Mrs. Robert Clark.
