Mrs. Carl Riegling is to write

19th at 2:00 p.m. we are
• catering to the Sillivan reunion
in the school gym.
Concern over restricted
movies was discussed as there
aren't many movies for children
to see, so write to the theatre
manager..In August a movie will
be shown for all children of the
community in the school gym.
Father stated the ladies retreat ,
will be held the 2nd Sunday in
September. Remember • the
parish picnic the 1st Sunday in
August. It will be held at the
school grounds. The response of
donations instead of the annixal
garden party was successful.
' Mrs. Joe Van Osch won the
mystery gift. The meting was
adjourned by Mrs. Carl Riegling
and 'Father closed with prayer.
Since the summer season is
here, many water accidents
happen. Mrs. Frank Riegling
introduced Mrs. Dorothy
MacKenzie and daughter Mary
Kay 'and Randy MacGlynn both
instructors at ' the Teeswater
Pool.
C a'flets on water safety and
artificial respiration .,were
distributed,
Mrs. MacKenzie . stressed
water safety: Never swim alone
or after dark; Wait one hour
after eating; Never swim when
hot or tired and°Swim along the
shoreline.
Don't panic as this is the
result. "Of ` one -half of all
drownings. Boating and skating
safety rules were also discussed.
Randy MacGlynn, said that
artificial respiration should begin
at once. The mouth to mouth is
the ' best method and this was
demonstrated - on the model
"Annie." .
After the ggestion and"
`answer-perir, everyone , had a
chance to practice artificial
respiration on Annie.
Mrs. Joe O'Keefe thanked the
guests and presented them with
gifts. Lunch was then served.

Mr, and Mrs. Ernest Dixon celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary''recently. On July La dinner
was held in Victoria Street United Church with all the family present. Mr. and Mrs. Dixon were
married on July 2, 1919, in St, Athanasius Anglican Church, Liverpool, England, when Mr. Dixon was
,a soldier serving with the Army Medical Corps during the 19141918 War. On returning to Canada,
they took up farming in Holland Township in Grey County, where they lived for thirty years before
moving to Goderich. Mr. and .Mrd Dixon. have six children, Allan. of Kirkland Lake, John of Sudbury,
Lewis of Ridgetown, Evelyn, (Mrs. Sydney Chapple) of Paisley, Agnes (Mrs. Wm. Muxlow). of ,
Meaford and Barbara, (Mrs. Wm. McKee)- of Goderich; thirteen grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
