The, remainder of the half was pretty scrappy and rugged with neither teatn_toduCing- too much open soccer, and ended 1-0. The second half began to open up a bit; and the Rankers took command. Many fine attacks. .developed from the Ranger half backs who beganto secure the midfield play. On one of these attacks inside right George Love had a "sure thing" for the equalizer, but it grazed the wrong side of the crassbar and . Goderich was still looking far the tying goal. It eventually carne from a Tony Vandonger throw-inlate-in the half. Tom Love shot a line drive some 20 yards and found the far corner of the net. The tough and rugged St. Columban squad kept the Rangers at bay for the remainder of the game, setting the scene for an extremely interesting Kingsbridge.
