SUMMER SCHOOL
Goderich Lions', Millis. sponsoring a Summer School to be held from July 2nd until
August 1st, both dates inclusive, Monday to Filday-,--betweere the 'hours. of _nine and eleven
o'clock, at the Goderich District Collegiate. The main reason is toRermit students to take,
courses of an enrichment nature. which are unavailable to them during tf* regular school
year. Classes will be made available to anyone, however, and -are nn -credit. Proposed

subjects will be Typing, Technical subjects (possibly Vv'otidtvorking,), •Art, Sewing,
Conversational French, Theatre Arts and General Business. •
All the‘courses will .be for beginners with the exception of Advanced Conversational
French and Advanced Typing. The Theatre Arts course i1l centre on elocution and voice
production, stagecraft, dramatictructure arict•R.ta•prodUction. The General Business .
course concentrates on comrrionAtopict that:1'1)6e- -to--meet'inbusinewdealingS,
such as mortgages, real estate practices, etc. The other courses are self-explanatory.
Each courg"ewill be two liours6 length, with the exception of Typing and French,
which will he one hour and will both be divided into Beginners' and Advanced courses.
Thus a student taking Frencli could also take rIliping, but would not be obligated to. The
fee for each subject will be $10, payable at the time of registration. Five dollars ($5) of
this is refundable on completion of 80.`.. attendance. In the case of Typing and French.
the cost will be $10 whether one or both subjectig are taken. Each subject will be offered
provided a suitable instructor can be found and sufficient numbers -enrol. Each class will
require a minimum of 15 and will be restricted to a maximum of 25.
