Federation of Agriculture
•decided today to start preparing
in early March at the .annual
Winter Conference for a farmer
vote across the province on the
General Farm Organization.
OFA'President Charles Munro
stated - , that the Winter
Conference would be a
"workshop" for members from
across " the province. • The
conference would then lead to
organizational structuring at thee
local level for the mandate.
A special committee was
named, by the executive to
prepare the programme for the
two-day conference to. be held
March 12 and 13 at the
Westbury Hotel in Toronto. The
executive - will meet again the
day prior to the conference.
Saturday the • executives of
• the Federation and the Ontario
Farmers' Union will meet for the
second time in two weeks to
discuss progress towards the
GFO.

machinery importation
programme during their regular
monthly meeting.
To date farmers have stated

Ontario "Fanners' Union,
Ashfield Local 342, was held last

farm organization structures.

members of the recent Farm
Income' Committee elaborated.

Phillip Durand Aimed that if
any farmers are hampered by the
present rotating hydro strike

Union of Public Employees,
Local 1000, Toronto 481-4493,
for assistance.
The meeting was adjourned
by Lorne Luther. Coffee and
donuts were served.
