Here's one for your blender.

CASSEROLE
1 can (73/a oz.) B.C. Salmon
11 cups milk
1 small onion, haloed
.2 tablespoons parsley clusters
'/d cup flour
1/4 cup melted butter
margarine
1 Cup grated cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 'teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon paprika 7.
Few drops;Tabasco sauce
'A cup soft bread crumbs
1/2 cusp grated cheddar cheese
3 cups cooked macaroni
Drain and flake salmon. In
containerof blender ,place the
milk, onion, paisley, flour,,
melted butter or margarine, the
cup grated cheese, and
seasonings. Blend at high speed
for 20 seconds. Place the cooked
macaroni in a !guttered 11 2 -quart
casserole. Pour the . sauce V ex
the macaroni. Top with Qthe
bread crumbs and ' 2,cup grated
cheese. Bake at 350 degrees F.
for .30 minutes. Makes 6
servings.
CREAMY VEGETABLE -
SALMON CASSEROLE
Here's -an easy
dinner -in -a -dish.
2 cans (73,4 oz. each) or 1 can
(15'2 oz.) B.C, Salmon
2 pkgs. (1Q oz. each) frozen
mixed vegetables with onion
sauce '
3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
'. 2 teaspoon dry mustard
2 cups ready -cooked rice
2 chicken bouillon cubes •
Drain salmon, remove skin
and bones ancf flake. Cook
vegetables according to package
directions. Add cheese, and
mustard and blend. Cook rice
according to package .directions,

in the .boiling water. Place rice in
a buttered 112 -quart casserole
dish. Place flaked salmon on top.
Pour vegetables over all. Bake at
400 degrees F. for 20 30
minutes. Makes 6 servings.
BUFFET SALMON
.Easy„ eery good casserole for
buffet entertaining.
3 cans :(7 oz. each) B.C.
Salmon`
2 pkgs. spaghetti sauce mix
2 cans (8 oz. each) tomato sauce
1 can water
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 pkg. (12 oz.) egg noodles
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
Green pepper rings
Blend spaghetti sauce mix,
tomato sauce, water .and
seasoned salt in a saucepan.
Bring to a boil; reduce heat;
cover and . simmer for 20
minutes. Meanwhile, cook
noodles in boiling, saltedowater
until tender. Rinse and drain.
,Combine sauce, noodles, flaked
salmon including juice,. and 1
cup of the grated cheese. Turn
into buttered 3 -quart casserole
dish. Sprinkle with remaining
cheese. Bake at 350 degrees F,
for approximately 30 minutes.
Garnish with green pepper rings.
Makes S.- 10 servings.

CASSEROLE
SALMON

2 cans (734 oz. ,each) or 1 can
(15' , oz.) B.C. Salmon
2 cups cottage cheese •
2 cups shell or fancy -shaped
macaroni
1 can (10 oz.) cream of celery"
soup
14 cup chopped green pepper
1 tablespoon instant onion
1 teaspoon grated,lemon.rind
Salt and pepper to taste .
Paprika
Uj
in a buttered 1 -quart
casserole dish, combine flaked
salmon including juice, cottage
cheese, macaroni cooked
. accord„}ng to package direetiops,
soup, green pepper, onion, and
lemon . rind. Season to taste.
Sprinkle„ with paprika. Bake at
350. degrees - F. for
approximately 30 minutes.
Makes 6 servings. '
Red Cross
Courses Offered
A series of 10 half-hour
programmes teaching Red Cross
Home Nursing skills will be
presented on CKNX -Television,
Wingham, starting Saturday,
March 1 at 11 a.m.
Viewers in the CKNX
Television area are invited to
participate in the series by
forwarding their name, address
and $2, enrolment fee, to Red
Cross c/o Anna Meyer, CKNX
Television, Wingham, Ontario.
Upon enrolment, viewers will
receive a Red Cross home
nursing manual, an improvised
sickroom equipment booklet
and a TV series workbook to
help them follow the lessons on
television.
Lessons ii the series will
cover such topics as "Patient
Comfort," "When Illness
Strikes," "Food for the
Family," "Medications and
. Treatments," "Protection frotr
Illness," "Baby Care,'-' `,'Safety -
'in the Home" and "Emergency
First Aid."
,The ---last programme in the
series will be comprised of an
open book test.
Upon"completion and return
of the open book test sheet,
viewer -participants will receive a
wallet -sized card acknowledging
that -they participated in the
CKNX Television -Red Cross
Home Nursing series.
The purpose of the. Red Cross
Home Nursing Course is to -teach
basic nursing skills required in
the home to enable women to
_cope with illness or emergency
with skill and confidence. "

4-H Homeming Pogamme

The 4-1-1 girls' homemaking
club programme in Huron
County is off to a good start..
Three very successful training
schools for leaders were held in
January in Wingham, Exeter and
Clinton. Interested ladies from
all parts of the county attended
and found the two days well
wgrthw• tile.
The , leaders, by now, will
have their respective clubs well
under way. The girls ,are
studying "Meat in the Menu"
this spring and it is promising to
be an interesting, enjoyable club
for all. Identification of meat
cuts is taught as well as cooking
methods applicable to each cut.
The emphasis is on the
preparation of economy cuts. As
the meetings progress, the girls
Will begin making plans for the
Achievement Day in their area.
The Achievement Day is the-
conclusion
heconclusion to the project 'and
gives theclub girl an
opportunity to exhibit her
record book from the project as
well as ° participate in a
programme punned around the
information, shehas learned.
It is ' hoped that the, spring
project "Meat in the Menu" will
contribute to the club girl's
all-round knowledge of
homemaking..
COURSES
The Home Economics Branch
of the Ontario Dept. of
Agriculture and Food is again
sponsoring several courses for
women. The short courses, one
or two days long, are qn a
'--var ety of topics from clothing
and textiles to home furnishin
and home crafts.
Courses of a longer duration.
- about two months - are
offered on foods and nutrition,
'clothing and textiles homecrafts
and home furnishings. The group
leaders are sent to a two-day
training school given by the
county home economist and a
specialist with the Home
Economics Branch of the
Ontario Department of
Agriculture and Food. The
programme ends - with a
Summary Day.
Plans are underw4y now to
arrange for -some of these
courses for next fall. If any
women's groups are intergsted in
having a course or are interested
in further information', they may
contact Miss Susan Heard, Horne
Economist for Huron County,
Box 159, Clinton. Application
forms for ' the ,courses are
available at the'offtce in Clinton.
