Somewhere beyond the sunset,
Where loveliness never dies,
There dwells a beautiful garden,
Beneath God's lovely skies.

4, at 8:30'p.m. K,
Born in Steubenville, Ohio,
Saramae. Endich began playing.
the piano at an early age and in
school sang with glee clubs and
,c,horal • groups. It - was not until
her college years, however, that
she definitely decided on a
singing career.
At Ohio " University she
.entered the music department
where • four years later, ,,she
received her 'Bachelor of Fine
Arts degree; After graduation,
Miss Endich. went to New York
tocontinue her musical studies.
There she worked with - Emmy
Joseph and Winifred Cecil and
recognition of her exceptional
abtlities were realized .with. the
Marian Anderson Award, the
Hour of Music, the Brooklyn
Academy. . of 41Jusic :. Young:
Artists Series,,— culminating in a
scholarship" to 'the" Berkshire
Music Centre at Tanglewood.
Praise has since followed
Saramae Endich throughout her
rapidly' rising career and the
scope of her musical activities
has covered every area ,of vocal
performance.
'Perhaps the finest summation
of the 'Endich art is. located in
the following words of the NEW
YORK HERALD TRIBUNE.:
"She is a remarkable singer,
indeed. It is unusual to find such
superb musicianship in a soprano
voice of such warmth and
sureness of range. Singing is; a
communicative art as- well as an
expressive art, and this soprano
makes the meaning of a song
clear even as she invests it with
sumptuous beauty."
