celebrated their golden wedding anniversary., Tuesday afternoon, •
September 5. They were at home to their many friends and
neighbours who called-diring the afternoon to express their

highly esteemed residents of
Dungannon who celebrated their
50th Wedding Anniversary' Sep-
tember 5.
On September 5, 1917 Mr,
and Mrs. Elliott were married
at the home of the bride 'pa-
rents with Rev. I.A. McKelvery
officiating. Mrs.. Elliott was the
former Emma Sproule, daugh.
ter of Mr. and, s.. ,David
Sproule and Mr. lliott's par-
ents were Mr. and Mrs, Sohn
Elliott.
After their marriage they
took up farming on the groom's
farm,' south of Dungannon,
where his son now continues
to farm,until they retired twelve
years ago in 1955..
They Have a family of two,
Margaret (Mrs. Oscar Cuthill)
of Walton and Harold, south of
Dungannon and„ three grand.
• -children. Th'ey were saddened
by the debth of a son Douglas
in 1937, `

lop Inn on Sunday and friends
were received at their home
on -Tuesday, September 5 when
they held open house.
