Nephew - MacDOUGALL -WEST A wedding trip to .Sritish, Columbia followed the marriage tiof Sharon Louise West, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 'Richard West of R. R. 3, Goderich, and Allan Lloyd MacDougall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Mac Dougall of R. R. 6, Lucknow. The double.ring exchange of vows was heard by Rev. Neil McCombie of Ripley, Ontario in Ashfield ' Presbyterial; church, Saturday June 24, in a setting of pink gladioli and white mums. Given in marriage by her father,the bride wore a lovely gown of white delustered satin, fashioned on simple lines with a deep border of baroque lace at, thethree-quarter sleeves and hemline. The chapel train was appiqugd with lace motifs. Her veil of white tulle illusion fell from a circlet of satin and lace: She carried a cascade of pink rosebuds, stephanotis, and ivy. Mrs. Marianne Smeltzer of R.R. 1 Ripley, was her sister's matron of honor, and brides- maids were 'Grace MacDougall of Kitchener and Susan Caslick of London. They wore identical 'gowns of dawn pink champeau with empire bodices accented by lace embroidery, and mat. ching circlet headdresses. Their bouquets were' white maims and baby pink carnations. msman was William An. of R. R. 7,__Lt>9�Kvx shers were James West , R. 3, Goderich, and Larry yd of London. The guests 'were received in Reids' Cor.. ners Hall by•thebride's mother. 11 t • wearing an aquamarine crepe sheath dress with lace bodice, white accessories, and a pink orchid corsage. Assisting, the groom's mother chose a soft , pink coatdress ensemble of nylon chiffon, matching pink and white accessories, and a core sage of pink and white. `roses. For the,, wedding trip the bride wore a pink Aline dress of Jude linen, pink and ' white access. odes, and a pink orchid cor. corsage. The couple will live on R. R. 6, Lucknow. The groom is a teacher at Lucknow Dis. trict High School, and the bride is a nurse at Wingham and Dis- trict hospital. PRE -NUPTIAL EVENTS On June 12, Susan,, Caslick entertained at her apatment in London where former class. mates gathered for a miscell- aneous shower. Mrs. Lloyd MacDougall held '•a relative shower on June 16. On June 19, a community shower was held in North Ashfield Public School. Mrs. John Strong Jr,, Mrs. Mary Lee and Mrs. Pat Gib. son of Wingham entertained at a miscellaneous shower at Mrs. Strong's home on June 20.
