THE GODERICH SIGNAL -STAR, THURSDAY, JULY 13, 1967 , 4 SECOND SECTION In an early evening ceremony Saturday, a young oak tree was planted to mark Centennial in Court Eouse park, donated by the Barker' family of ' Goderich: The tree, shown at lower left, planted by Dr. G. F: Mills, mayor of Goderich, grew from a seedling off an oak tree presented to Goderibh Hprticultural Society in 1937. ° It originated in, Windsor Palk at Windsor Castle in England, and was sent to, Canada to mark the coronation of King as George VI in 1937.
