Frank Raithby in charge. The minutes were read by the secretary, Mrs. Bert Craig. In the absence of the treasurer, Mrs. Norman McDowell, Mrs. Bert Doran presented the fin- ancial statement showing that a grant _for $76,1, had been r , ,eeiz� :•4ayrrren tir .aptpr-oved to Bob Turner who had placed both sets of Auburn letters in, a cement base at both entrances to the village. An invitation to attend family night with the Women's Institute on Dec. 5 wa. received. WilliamStraughan, Ed. Davies and Donald Cartwright will be asked to place Santa on the Manchester garden early in De- cember. Mrs. Kenneth Scott introduc- ed the guest of the evening— Wilfrcd Denom ne, Goderich tlur- ist. He spoke on making differ- ent flower arrangements for dif- ferent occasions and demonstrat- ed how they are made. Hallowe'en Party Hobos, goblins, beatnigks, witches and bridal parties were among the costumes worn at the annual Hallowe'en party held by the Auburn CGIT girls in the Sunday school, room of ,Knox Presbyterian Church. The girls were welcomed by the pro- gram committee composed of -Nan Lapp, Brenda Archambault and Cathy Schneider. The grand march was held with Mrs. W. Bradnco as pianist. The judges were Mrs. Ed.
