Wil- liam Taylor of Dorchester was 'the speaker. He challenged youth to try and improve things in the world and stated that the challenge to all Christians is to make the best of themselves and to help build a better Christian world today. . The organist, Mrs. Norman Wightsnan was in charge of the music and Miss Jennifer Grange VAL tbexianist. The chair --sang the anthem, This is the day that the Lord hath made with the duet part taken by Nancy An - demon and Betty Moss. Mrs. Ernmerson Rodger and Mr. Lloyd Walden sang the duet, Holy Art Thou.' The offering was receiv- ed by Kenneth McDougall, Stan- ley Ball, Wayne Milliary and Glen Webster. Receives Jewel Wor. Bro. Maitland Allen was honored by Morning Star Lodge, AF & AM 305 Carlow when he was presented last week with his 50 year Jewel. The present- ation was made by his nephew,. Wor Bro. William S. Craig of Clinton. It was official visit of DiStriet Deputy Grland Master, Rt, Wor. Bro. William J. Neely of Stratford. Another former resident of this community Mr. Thomas Wilson of Goderich was also honored by the presentation - of his 50 year Jewel by his son, -0 Mr. Mac Wilson. Wor. Master Kenneth Scott was in charge. Keith Scott and Jim Hickey represented Goderich District - 0/legiate-Iiistitute-mnd:'plough- ed as a team for their school and won second place on Tues- day at the International. Plow- ing)M+atch. Wednesday, Keith placed fifth and ,Jim 10th in tractor plowing and on , Friday in the inter -secondary school competition they placed 13th. Seventeen wools participated, Watford placed first, Stouffville, second and Toronto Township third. Keith was the fifth generation which had• plowed on this farm. Elmer Robertson was coach for Keith and Joe Hickey was the coach for his son Jim. Personals - Mr. and Mrs. S. „ Squire of Br>Arnpton visited recently with Mrs. Sidney Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Raithby and Mr. William Raithby of Ottawa visited with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Raithby on Sunday. Mis. Heinz Rutkowski, Angela Heinz and Susie are visiting with her sister and family in Kitchener this week. .Mrs. Walter Sehlichlting is a patient in Goderich hospital.
