A lifelong resident of Gode-
rich Township Mrs. James R.
Stirling, 83 died Sunday in Clin:
ton hospital where she had been
a patient for several weeks.
She was the former Margaret
L. Torrance, daughter of the
late John and Mary Reid Ttir-
rance. In 1903 she married t -
late James R. Stirling who p
deceased her in 1960.
Surviving are two daughters,

A six-year-old Goderich girl,
Lpri Ann Ferguson, died in Vic-
toria Hospital, London, on Sun-
day after a brief illness,
Born in North Bay, she ,was
the daughter of Mr. and "Mrs.
,Gerald Fergusdn of 41 Blake
street.
A' pupil 'at Robertson Mem-
orial School, she was also a stu-
dent. of the Madame de Kurthy
ballet • school.
Besides her parents, she is
survived by one sister, Carol
Lynn, at home.
The funeral\service was held
on Tuesday In the Stiles funeral
home with the Rev. G. Garwood
Russell of St. George's Angli-
can Church officiating. Inter-
ment followed in Maitland ceme-
tery.

This poster contest is sponsor-
ed by the C.W.L. every year and
used to ,advertise the annual
supper.
Mrs. A. Wisser, telephone

thanked all members on her

The meeting was adjourned
and Mrs. Leo Walzak thanked
