It has been proven by surveys released
recently by 1114 ambulance associations
that it, is'just not economieelly fisibJi to

A report, which appeared within the,

So, as they artin the business -to.
make a living, they eannot lie blamed for
wanting to rid t heniselves o -f the burden
which they have vitrried un unwilling

People itiay ask why they got involved
in the serviee in the first instance. The
reason was beeause of competition between
the funeral homes.
Smaller directors were forced into
providing an ambulance service or suffer

Dear Sir:
The letter from J. Wilkinson
in last week's Signal -Star, in
which he supports, and even, ap-
pears to advocate, fighting on
the ice and rough hockey, is a
shocking testimony of the depths
to which this game has sunk.
From letters of this sort, we see
that all the blame for tripping,
slashing, groin -kicking 'and gen-
eral poor sportsmanship, does
not rest solely with the players.

Youngsters who have been
taught and encouraged to act
as hoodlums on the ice, find it
natural and easy to ,act likewise
in our homes and on the streets.

• I also feel Mr. Wilkinson owes
Ron Feagan a public apology.
His insinuation that Ron's spec-

has brought to Goderich, were
sparked by his early association
with dirty hockey in the home-
town, is particularly odious.
