At the Saturday night per-

.The force .behind all these
m;anoeuverings is Philip Russell,
retired Secretary of State.. In
this part Bill Cochrane is ex-
cellent. He is gay and amus-
ing on the Mate, and gives the
younger members of the cast
the greatest support. His wide,
Constance, is played by Virginia
Lodge.
As always Virginia is a de-

we are 'deeply absorbed in the
third act when she gives 'up an
unequal struggle and ,;,becomes
reconciled to Philip.
The cast is completed by
Adrian Swanton as Byron Wink-

Frank Bissett as Laurence the
butler.
, Spared Nothing
Under Gail's direction all the
affairs' of state are finally set-
tled. She has lavished the ut-
most trouble on this play, paint-
ed, and designed •t:he -set, , trained,
the cast, even made up the .ac-
toi•s and has_ spared herself,
nothing.
Her production supervisor,
:bMarjorie Maicfie, is equally re

the 'Assistant - Producer, Ruth

running tirelessly up and .down
