gressing rather slowly this past
week in Huron County. The
frequent showers and poor dry-
ing days have 'kept harvest at
a near stanclStill. Conletiuently,'
there is still a considerable
amount of grain in the field,
Quality of the grain still to be
harvested is somewhat reduced

Detroit Youths
Are Jailed Here
On Liquor Count
Three Detroit Youths were
jailed here early Wednesday
morning on charges of consum-
ing liqu'orwas minors. -
They are Joseph Jelske, 17,
of 90371 Lauder street, Lance
Brown Catlin, 16, of 9189 Little-
field, and Jeffrey Kyle Smith,
16, of 9903 Littlefield. ,
The four were arrested at the
corner of Victoria and Elgin
Wednesday morning at 1 o'clock
by Goderiich Constable Tom
Fortner.
Assested at 5:30 a.m. August
25 was Telford Philrhore Bissett
of R.R. 1. He ,was charged as
a "minor consuming."
