With regard to recent public-
ity •giy, eti. to the formation of
an EMO Search and Rescue
Team by the Bluewater. Aqua-
rztuts, and the report a my
• staterrients. to council on May 1,
• I ',believe that my remarks
should 'be clarified.
,Let me say first of all that it
wa's" not my intention to be-
little or downgrade any person
'connected wigh this organiz-
ation, If I have done so, I
would like to take this oppor-
tunity to apologize and to try
toot& clear this matter up to every•
one's satisfaction,
My 'first ,observ,ation is that
the newspaper article dealing
with this matter on April .30
gave -me the ,impression that
the town was going to assist the
Bluewater Aquanauts in obtain-
ing some equipthent in 'return
for which , the club members
would act as'a "Beach Patrol"
at Harbor Beach this su•mnier,
My,feeling .in this regard is 'that
• t 's is an excellent idea, long
overdue.- HoWever, I4 question

• In my capacity as a Certified

of Und.erWater Instructors, I
must stress the need for these

volved in this sport by a Certi-

the EMO _Co-ordinator,. agrees
'with •this and is taking action
along these lines. The func,
lion of an EMG Search and
Rescue team is a Kery exacting
one which requires a high de-
gree of skill and experience.

Dear Sir:
Large %urns of :public money
'have been •expended in. remov-

improving God'erich Harbor.
Why should this excellent har-

It appears Oat th'e.e• levators
