WHEREAS pursuant to the
Orovisions of the Municipal Act,
1960; C. 249, 5 379 (1)
Bylassesensay be passed by coun-
cils ,Q.L. Local Municipalities for
regulating the keeping of
animals. ,

'ciPar Council of the Corporation
of the Town of Goderich enacts
as fibllows:
1. No person shall keep in or
upon any. land or premises
in the Town of Goderich at
any one time more than two
cats of any kind, regardless
of breed or sex.
2. This Bylaw shall not apply
to cats boarded by a Veterin-
ary surgeon or impounded by
a duly appointed pound -
keeper. ,
3. This bYlaw shall not apply to
unweaned kittens.
4. Any person convicted of a
violation of Section 1 of this
bylaw, shall be liable,. to a
penalty not exceeding, $5.00
for a first offence, exclusive
of costs,_ and not exceeding
$25.00 exclusive of costs for
a second or subsequent of-
fence, such penalties and
costs to be recovered 'under
the provWsons ni_thessSoms,
mary ConWctions Act; and in
• addition all cats kept -by the
person so convicted in excess
'Of the number permitted may
- be ordered destroyed by the
presiding Magistrate.
This bylaw shall come into
force and take effect 10 days
after the publication thereof in
